Was the United States justified in dropping the atomic bombs in Japan to end WWII? Why or why not?

Yes because the war would have lasted longer than it should have. Japan was not willing to surrender and in order to save American lives the president, Harry Truman did what was necessary. This is because of his loyalty to the United States and not wanting to spill more innocent American blood.
