use the pythagorean theorem!

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

plug in the values:

27^2 + 36^2 = c^2

simplify to get your answer:

729 + 36^2 = c^2

729 + 1296 = c^2

2025 = c^2

√2025 = c

45 = c

the length of the hypotenuse is 45cm

hope this helps!
