Sometimes it is called a dissident in countries like Cuba or Venezuela who oppose a government which is dedicated to fulfil the basic needs of the poor people but in the case of, say Fidel Castro, he spoke out against the military dictatorship of the Batista government and tried to overthrow it and was jailed because of it, so he could be called a revolutionary.
